Two cookies, and nothing hidden behind them
What the banner on quartzbays.com actually remembers, which two cookies it sets, and how you may clear them.
In short
Nothing is hidden in this banner
quartzbays.com sets two cookies — one for the age check, one for this notice — and nothing beyond them.
Wiping cookies from your browser at any time clears age18au40 and ckau40 together, resetting the site to a first-time visit.
The two cookies
What does each one actually remember?
What does age18au40 remember?
That you confirmed you are 18 or over, so the age screen does not reappear on your next visit.
What does ckau40 remember?
That you have seen this cookie notice, so the banner does not follow you from page to page.
Are any advertising cookies set here?
None — no advertising cookie runs on this site.
Does clearing cookies change anything at the door?
No — the age check on York Street has never depended on a browser remembering anything.
